On March 19, 2010 at approximately 7:00 P.M., Officers of the Dunlap Police Department received information of a possible underage party involving alcohol at 25 Chickasaw Lane in Dunlap. Officers responded to the residence and did discover that there were several underage people consuming alcohol.
There were nine (9) people at the residence between the ages of 14 to 18. Of these nine (9) people, six (6) were consuming alcohol.
Two of the male juveniles present, ages 14 and 16, were found to be extremely intoxicated and were transported to North Valley Medical Center by the Sequatchie County EMS. The 16 year old male was later transported to Erlanger Medical Center via Life Force.
Parents of the juveniles were contacted to take custody of their children and those juveniles that consumed alcohol were charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol. An 18 year old male, Austin T Roberson, of Dunlap, was charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Officers continued the investigation into the incident and discovered that Lisa M Wyman, 45 years of age of Dunlap, had purchased the alcohol for Roberson that was consumed at the party. Wyman was not present at the underage party, but was charged with Purchasing Alcohol for an Underage Person and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
The juveniles are scheduled to appear in Sequatchie County Juvenile Court on April 16, 2010. Roberson and Wyman are scheduled to appear in Dunlap Municipal Court on May 11, 2010.
