WEEK OF APRIL 5TH – APRIL 11TH, 2010
ARRESTS:

At approximately 6:45 A.M. Patrolman Brian Lockhart responded to a vandalism complaint at the Sequatchie County High School on Hwy 28 in Dunlap. It was reported that unknown persons had vandalized areas of the Alternative School building, Baseball Field and Softball Field. Upon the officer’s arrival at the scene it was also discovered that the unknown suspects had also burglarized the concession stand.
Officer Lockhart, along with Detectives Keith Herron and Cody Smith, discovered evidence remaining at the scene and also reviewed surveillance video footage. Suspects were then identified and located. The suspects were found to be an 11 year old male and a 12 year old male. The two juveniles confessed to officers about the incident along with a previous vandalism incident committed at the High School on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010. Officers did also recover some of the stolen property at the residence of one of the juveniles.
The two juveniles were transported to the Rhea County Juvenile Detention Center located in Dayton, TN. Both are scheduled to appear in Sequatchie County Juvenile Court on April 16, 2010.
